Altar Assistants serve on the altar with the priest and deacons at Mass and other liturgical events. This very special ministry is open to anyone who is, at least, ten years old. We welcome adults in this ministry as well. Training is provided, and servers may schedule themselves with their siblings and/or parents.
If you are interested in becoming an Altar Assistant, please contact Jon for more information. You will receive training on the Altar while being paired with veteran Servers during a few Masses.
What is a Liturgical Master of Ceremonies (MC)?
Historically, the role of the MC at Mass has been a way to grow vocations. The MC must be in high school that has been trained to be a server. The MC allows the presider to more prayerfully go through the Mass by making sure everything is happening as it is supposed to. They are a kind of advanced server. MCs are only used for special Masses throughout the year. There is a special training before these Masses led by Fr. Steven and Jon. If you are interested, please contact the parish offices below.
