Lectors

Lectors proclaim the scripture readings at our parish liturgies and special liturgical functions. Individuals should have a love for the Word of God, a good speaking voice, and confidence in public speaking. Individuals are usually scheduled two or three times in a two-month period. Lectors have the ability to select preferred Masses.

There is a general meeting once a year where new procedures, spiritual formation, questions, and concerns are discussed. We provide a mentored training process so individuals with the ability and desire will be prepared for the experience.
